	What is a Leader? Leaders are the people that will help a group create its vision; they will take the initiative to see that things happen and encourage others to participate; they make proposals; they organize logistics; they solve problems; they follow-up with evaluation and accountability; and they are willing to accept responsibility. Leaders make things happen!			The Texas Rural Leadership Program The Texans in Leadership Program, administered by Texas Rural Leadership, Inc. (TRLP) offers an exciting, effective leadership development program for rural Texas. All those associated with TRLP are committed to providing communities in Texas with the working tools for community revitalization with the ultimate goal of developing strategic plans for economic development which ultimately leads to increased jobs, income and wealth.			What can it do for your community? TRLP benefits your community: • Gets people working on projects that they identify as important to their community • Creates a network of towns and leaders with similar interests • Trains local residents to communicate better, conduct effective meetings, and reduce conflict • Informs local residents about their economy, their neighbors' interests, and their government and community.
